Who would pass up an opportunity to grab a meal in the south end? Not I! After enjoying an afternoon with Steve, my nephew Nick, & his wife Krysten at the Museum of Fine Arts, hunger set in. I had Esti’s Hot & Sour Soup from Myers & Chang on my mind.

This month’s story is focused on digital food photography - the delicious offerings we enjoyed at dinner that I captured with my iPhone 17 Pro!

It’s time for dinner at one of the best restaurants in the South End! I love the font of the lettering for “Myers & Chang” on this window! :D
Happy 2026!!! Even with snowbanks left over from a winter storm, there was thankfully a decent amount of parking on Washington Street that night. We scurried out of the cold inside to the restaurant. This place stays busy on the weekends and it’s always a good idea to make a reservation!

Loved the presentation here! Pork Belly is delicious!
We started off with Pork Belly Buns and Korean Fried Chicken Buns. Both were incredible…I’d say my favorite were the Korean Fried Chicken Buns!
The Korean Fried Chicken buns are my idea of comfort food! :)
I do not personally enjoy Salmon, but everyone else thought these Crispy Friend Salmon Rolls were great!
Mama Chang’s Pork + Chive Dumplings are always a hit. One of the best items on the menu.
In my opinion the best item on the menu: Esti’s Hot & Sour Soup!
This soup is an absolute masterpiece
Wok-Charred Udon Nooodles with Chicken + Bok Choy are wonderful too!
Time for Dessert!
The creme caramel is paired with a bruleed banana! It was a great way to end dinner!
Dinner was incredible. Steve & I love going out to eat with others - especially our family. It was years ago that I got my nephew Nick hooked on Hot & Sour Soup. Now he mentions wanting to have it nearly everytime we talk about hanging out in Boston.
I feel that 2026 is going to be my year. With everyone’s support, I can’t wait to see what’s next!

It had honestly been forever since my husband Steve & I celebrated Valentine’s Day in the city. I left Valentine’s Day completely open this year so I could devote the day spending time with my favorite person! We had an amazing afternoon and found a delicious new spot for soup dumplings!

This month’s story begins in the Back Bay at Lyrik and ends at the waterfront across from the Rose Kennedy Greenway. I saw on Instagram than Lyrik was giving out Lego roses and I wanted a coffee too. Steve’s request for the afternoon was we found somewhere cool (and new) in Chinatown to check out for dinner.

However, this was a very popular event and the line was very long. Steve wasn’t feeilng standing out in the cold in a line to wait for a Lego rose (he offered to grab me one off Amazon) so we went inside George Howell for coffee instead! We stopped by the Double Heart sculpture too! :)

The George Howell Coffee in the back Back Bay does have small booths but a couch is nowhere in sight. The coffee here is delicious!
One good heart desrves another, connected as two!
Lyrik was giving out free Lego Rose Kits and this display was next to the stand where they were giving out the roses. The Lego roses mixed in with real roses was such a cool idea! I love it!
The mid-afternoon turned into the late aftenroon and we were hungry. We headed to Chinatown in search of dinner. We decided to check out Fuchunju for Soup Dumplings! The food here is wonderful!
Soup dumplings always hit the spot on a cold day!
After dinner, we did the 20 minute walk to the Rose Kennedy Greenway by the carousel. Positioned right next to it, there was a carousel there for the month of February. The line was very long as there were many people in the city for Valentine’s Day. I took a few digital photos on my iPhone of the Ferris Wheel. I loved all the neon lights!

We left the Rose Kennedy Greenway and headed back towards the garage where I had parked the car. We walked alongside Fanuel Hall and as we approached Congress Street….we found City Hall decked out in red for Valentine’s Day! ❤️
Thank you to my husband Steve for being the best Valentine I could ever ask for. We are incredibly supportive of one another and I am very proud of that.
I loved spending the day just the two of us enjoying the city we love! ❤️

What’s more fun than playing videogames at home? Traveling to a convention in Boston where you get to play videogames in an humongoues expo center instead (of course!) PAX East is always a vibe and you get to check out lots of cool new games - console and tabletop. I’m personally not much for tabletop games….but I won’t turn down owning a colorful pair of dice! :)

This month’s story is a small snapshot of my day at PAX East on a Saturday in March. My husband Steve & I brought along my friend Josh as it was his first PAX event ever!

Portraits From Pax East to begin this months story!
The day before PAX East, I picked up my friend Joshua from the train station. I grabbed flowers from the grocery store and also grabbed dinner as well. I was so ready for PAX East and was excited to bring Josh as it was his first time.
If I’m being honest, I don’t do this all that often, but I found a nail polish brand that creates really cool effects and rocked a manicure for the convention. I even got Steve to paint the nails of one of his hands black too! I though it looked so cool!

Below are photos from Saturday at PAX East. It was a great event and I ran we had fun walking around the convention. I enjoyed Josh’s company and that he spent his first PAX East with Steve & I was awesome!

In other news…my husband Steve bought a new car! The Mazda CX-5 is very cool! Even if I’m usually the passenger princess! (Althought I enjoy driving the car too!) :)

The month of April 2026 was one where my adventures took me outside of Boston. A trip Steve & I planned with our best friend George to Niagara Falls & Toronto began by traveling to Niagara, NY. I had always wanted to see the falls on the NY side up close and had been reading about the “Cave of the Winds” for months!
APRIL 2026
I wanted to capture this experience using my action camera and iPhone and I wasn’t wild about either getting wet. I found an extremely colorful poncho with pockets and I knew it would be perfect for this experience! Read on to enjoy some of the sights captured from the Cave of The Winds!

I had never seen the bridal falls up close (and with snow on the ground, no less). It was our first stop on our trip prior to reaching Canada and I was very excited! It was a gorgeous day perfect for checking out the falls on the US side. Read on below for more of what I captured during my visit to the Cave of the Winds!
Both Steve & George were ECSTATIC that there was an area far away enough from the falls that you didn’t get sopping wet. Only a portion of the observation deck was open for early April! It was the perfect time to visit as the crowds are smaller!
I absolutely loved the viewing area….it was so cool being this close to the waterfall!!! The pop of red from the decks are a nice touch to this spot, too!
A fitting start to the cave of the winds is a informational hall that you check out prior to taking the elevator down towards the falls!

The First Photos of George, Steve, & I was captured by my friend George. All “environment” photos were captured by me and all portraits of me were captured by my husband Steve on my iPhone 17 Pro!

This poncho is one of the best things I’ve found on Amazon. Steve & George both joked they would have no issues finding me.
I was proud to be the only one at Cave of the Winds that day with a colorful, ombre yellow/red, poncho that was super functional and held all my electronics in the front pouch!
Shortly after taking the photos direclty above with the horseshoe falls in the background, we made our way back to the car and headed to the Canadian border…barely a 5 minute drive from the Cave of the Winds parking lot!
I took a lot of photos of Canada on my 35mm film camera and I hope to share them in the near future! I cannot recommend this spot enough, the up close views of the bridal falls on the New York side are definitely worth the trip!
A charming, sunny afternoon in Boston was perfect for hanging out with my friend Jake and his boyfriend Jay. We met up near Post Office Square and made our way towards one of Boston’s loveliest neighborhoods!
MAY 2026
We were on a mission to check out Music Research Library in Beacon Hill. A record store located one block west of the State House. The photos in this month’s story capture our afternoon hangout!

Back on my bullshit in Beacon Hill! 😂
We started out in Downtown Crossing to grab coffee, then stopped at the fountain in the Boston Commons for some photos!
From there we made our way into Beacon Hill and that’s where the photos continue!
…and I took this wonderful photo of Jake and his boyfriend Jay on 35mm film camera!
The scenery from the streets in Beacon Hill make for some of the absolute best photos! These three photos were taken with my 35mm film camera!
After we had our fill of record store vibes, we grabbed lunch at Boston Public Market. Then I asked Jake and Jay if they’d be interested in Steve & I taking them to see the Double Heart Sculpture at Lyrik Back Bay (I will never shut up about how amazing this sculpture is!). They agreed and off we went to take more photos in front of one of my favorite pieces of art in the city!
We finished off with a selfie of us enjoying some boba as we headed back to the car to end the day!
We Made It to the record store and I snapped some more photos with my film camera! Such a cool spot with a ton of vinyl records and vintage equipment!
Such a unique and interesting spot to visit in Beacon Hill!

I have visited Madeleine’s Candy Shop a couple times over the past few months. It feels like a trip to the Back Bay isn’t complete without stopping in to this charming candy shop!

The Candy Bags are the perfect size and their design is such a vibe!
A short photo walk is what became my plans on a wonderful Saturday afternoon in the city. I set out from one of Back Bay and headed towards the other.
I have visited Madeleine’s Candy Shop time to time over the past few months. It was definitely on my radar that afternoon! Before I arrived, I took some photos of what was happening in the neighborhood that day on my point and shoot 35mm film camera.

Continuing my walk off Dartmouth towards Clarendon Street, I arrived at Madeleins Candy Shop. I absolutely love the design of this spot. It is in the perfect location in the South End! Madelein’s stocks candy based on what the community asks for and (in my opinion) has the perfect amount of candy offerings!

The tiny gardens in the Back Bay are one of the best things to photograph in the neighborhood!
I’m as big a fan of the shop’s storefront as I am the candy!!!
Don’t even get me started on their delicious soft serve ice cream too!
hands down one of my favorite types of candy are chocolate covered gummy bears
The ones on the left hand side of this photo above do not disappoint and I highly recommend them!
A final photo below shows people lined up at the the ice cream stand for Madeleines. I gotta admit, this spot was such a cool idea and I’m happy it is a part of the South End.
