Who could turn down a trip to the Museum of Science? It had been a while since our last visit, so Steve & I met up with family (Nick & Krysten) to see what was new. We also had a chance to see the show “Deep Sky” at the Mugar Omni Theatre! It was awesome!
JANUARY 2025
This month’s story is a small offering of what was seen during our visit through photographs captured on my husband’s digital camera…
A VISIT TO THE
MUSEUM OF SCIENCE
BOSTON
Back on my bullshit for 2025! :D
Happy 2025!!! It is the middle of winter and it’s freezing…a wonderful opportunity for the Museum to featre “Arctic Adventure”. It was an adventure all right! An adventure where you attempt to remain warm while they pump in cold air from outside into the exhibit! :)
All joking aside, it featured an amusing game where one person directs you to pick up supplies and another person uses a device to pick them up. It was very funny how each time you would successfully pick up a supply….a large crevice (that you’re supposed to avoid) would appear over the area anyways! I made it out alive :)
The Interior Hallways of the musuem are large, open spaces. I feels like it hasn’t changed much over the years…but then again this place is always renovating something.
Many cool things to check out in the hallways outside of the exhibits!
There are a lot of cool variations of minerals on display to check out. The rock on the right is Amethyst.
It is a fact that one of the best views of the Charles River, as well as the Boston Skyline, is from the back windows of the Museums Lobby. Soon the ice will melt away on the river and it will be Spring again!
Steve & I had a great time hanging out with Nick & Krysten at the Museum of Science. I always recommend everyone to check out a show at the Mugar Omni Theatre, the screen is incredible!
To end this month’s story, a portriat of Nick & Krysten on one of the stairways!
I taught Nick & Krysten everything they know about posing for photos. ….just kidding :)
Here is to another year full of new and memorable stories!!!

It was the beginning of February when, sitting at my desk, I receive a text from my friend David. He was messaging to remind me it had been quite a while since we last hung out. He was right too….we hadn’t seen each other since the holidays.
When David shared with me he lived in Leominster…I saw an opportunity to check out a city in Massachusetts I had never visited before, as well as spend time with a great friend! :)
FEBRUARY 2025
This month’s story includes photography taken at Barret’s Park in Leominster. We headed there after we had lunch downtown!

It was just warm enough outside to do a bit of exploring. David & I had a few photos together taken by Steve in the parking area. I wanted something to remember our first trip to Leominster!
Included below are some of the amusing photos we took!
David is the quiet, clever jokester! He always cracks me up!!! Photo Credit (6 photos above): Steve Calitri
I grabbed some flowers out of the car I had brought to take photos with and we headed down the path towards Colburn Pond, the body of water in the middle of the park. It was a bit icey on the path but we made it safely! David took out his digital camera and gave me suggestions to pose for the photos.
Below are a mixture of landscape photos and a couple of outstanding portraits taken of me by my incredibly talented friend David!
The sky was perfect on this afternoon and David captured the scenery perfectly. This is no surprise to me as he is an exceptional landscape photographer! :) Photo Credit : David Banta-Garcia
I love how David captured my eyes as well as the details of the roses in the 3 portraits above! Photo Credit : David Banta-Garcia

The final photo of this month’s story is easily one of my favorites. A sihouette of a single rose with the horizon behind it! David captured pure magic in this photo!
Truly a memorable afternoon with one of my awesome friends hanging out in Leominster! I will definitely be returning here when the weather gets a bit warmer to explore more of the city!
Thank you a million times for these awesome silhouette photos David! Such a vibe! Photo Credit : David Banta-Garcia

Towards the end of March, I finally got a chance to check out the Winteractive Art Exhibits at Boston City Hall Plaza! While not only located at City Hall, two of the installations I really wanted to check out were here: Sonic Runway & Cycle.
If there is one thing I love about Boston…it is the amount of public art it features throughtout the city neighborhoods each year!
MARCH 2025
This month’s story includes photography taken at Boston City Hall Plaza. Enjoy all the creative vibes of these photos made possible by the night sky!

It was a really nice night, weather wise, when I visited City Hall in Boston. I noticed a high level of people at Fanuel Hall as I made by way to the art installations I wanted to check out.
Sonic Runway uses light - matched with music - to create an interesting and colorful pathway to walk through. I loved it!
Included below are some of the photos my husband captured at the Sonic Runway!

Across the plaza is the newly renovated Government Center Subway Station. I love how it’s lit up blue and green! Photo Credit: Steve Calitri
Nearby, the next art installation I wanted to check out was called Cycle. It comes to life, responding with light, to bystanders reactions.
So of course I had to walk across the top of the installation and make it glow. The glow that emanates from it is very cool!

I went back to the Sonic Runway and asked Steve to take some photos of me as the colored light hit my face. I love using neon/glowing light in this way. It creates such colorful portraits!
Below is what was created!

As this momth’s story comes to an end, I am sharing one of my favorite photos from that evening. A photo of Boston City Halls entrance lit up at night. It was such great weather for photography!
Thank you to the city of Boston for cool public art exhibitions like Winteractive
Lastly, thanks to my husband Steve for having a digital camera that takes amazing photos at night!

Recently I was gifted a digicam by my friend George. A thouhtful gift that I have been interested in using more as an alternative to photography on my iPhone. The digicam gifted to me (the Kodak PixPro FZ55) is super popular, especially in Japan!
On a late weekday afternoon in mid April where it was warm and the sun was shining bright, my husband Steve & I went to the Hingham Shipyard for a short photo walk.

For once, it was a bit more on the quiet side, there were plenty of people dining outdoors for dinner at the Hingham Shipyard on this day. We made our way from the parking lot towards the walking path that leads to Hingham Bay.
Read on to see what I captured with my digicam during my walk!
Pictured below are photos I captured on my digicam, along with a few digital photos taken by my husband on his digital camera.

Back towards the street, away from the water is a grassy field with a really cool mural! This mural includes a depiction of a mermaid. I love the colors in this mural!
As for the last photo in this months story - a great photo from my Kodak PixPro of my favorite person to go on photo walks with! :)

In the May 2025 edition of the Trader Joes Fearless Flyer, they advertised a white wine flavored with oranges called Tarongino Frizzante.
I visit Trader Joes roughly once a week with my husband Steve. Truly, this is part of the definition of the term “domestic bliss”. There is nothing like a hot date to this grocery store. What’s not to love? They always have new items that are unique and interesting. I truly consider it my pleasure palace - and I rarely get bored when I visit!
MAY 2025
This month’s story includes photography of me exploring the Trader Joes in Somerville as this location has a liquor license and offers the orange wine I was in search of!
A VISIT TO MY PLEASURE PALACE
IN SEARCH OF ORANGE WINE
TRADER JOES
SOMERVILLE
Off we go in search of orange wine! Photo Credit: Steve Calitri
Before I go searching for wine, I check out the oranges…and the flowers!
When it comes to snack food, Trader Joes delivers!
Assorted Cheese, Ravioli, and Dairy!
My opinion of one of the best items that Trader Joes sells in the cheese section?
The “OG” of cheese spreads!
So many choices…it forces you to ponder about what’s essential versus what isn’t
I’ve made it to the wine section! Not every Trader Joes has a liquor license…but the store in Somerville does!
An abundance of interesting types of wine line the walls. I peruse the offerings in an attempt to find the orange wine…
Suddenly, I look across the floor and see a display stocked full of Tarongino Frizzante! I admire the bottle, impressed by the vivid orange color of the wine…
As this months story comes to an end…a reminder that stories appear in all sorts of places. Even the grocery store. And I hope you get to make your own memorable story every time you visit Trader Joes. It is always a bit memorable for me!
And in case you were wondering….yes, the wine really does taste wonderful!!!
It is common to see flowers and produce towards the front entrance of a Trader Joes. After exploring here I moved onward towards the back of the store where they keep the wine. The photos below capture what I came across during this visit…
Ready to shop, in search of orange wine!!!
Trader Joe’s flowers are not bad and they last a decent amount of time too!

Shortly before Andy moved to Los Angeles, he shared that he’d be returning to Boston for a few weeks in June.
Eager to catch up and do some photography in a spot I hadn’t been to for a while, we agreed on Quincy Center. I brought one of my new Sony Digicams I recently purchased off Ebay. I love Quincy and it’s center has changed over the past few years.
JUNE 2025
One of the changes, a new restaurant called Drifters that opened recently, is where this month’s story begins…
MY FRIEND ANDY
COMES BACK TO BOSTON
FOR A VISIT
AND WE MEET UP
FOR LUNCH IN
QUINCY CENTER
My friendship with Andy is such a vibe! Photo Credit: Steve Calitri
The restaurant was very quiet for an early afternoon and it almost felt at first like we had the entire place to ourselves. I loved the open design of the space as well as the hint of brick wall behind the tvs in the bar area! Andy ordered Oysters, Steve & I ordered sandwiches. After we ate, I had any take a few photos of me inside the space!
A selfie and a wonderful portrait to the right taken by Andy!
I love having a new restaurant (or bar) to check out in Quincy Center!
“Drifters” has a vibe all it’s own.
I loved the design of the booths as well as the red neon sign!!!

Quite the backdrop for the back wall of the restaurant!
Andy ordered oysters for lunch. Definitley not my thing…but he said they were wonderful!!!
I stepped outside looking forward to doing some photography, digicam in hand!
I love my Sony Cybershot DSC-WX300, it takes great photos!
We decided to walk towards the water fountain that was opened a few years back in front of City Hall. The weather could not have been more awesome, too! The photos below share what I captured along the way during the walk through Quincy Center!
This building in Quincy Center has been here forever!!!
The fountain is fairly new though!
Before I forget to mention….
HAPPY PRIDE MONTH!!! 🌈🌈🌈
From this path off to the left is the new fountain in front of Quincy City Hall. I hand Steve my digicam and ask him to take a photo fo Andy and I in front of the fountain…
Water fountains make an awesome backdrop for photos!
As this months story comes to an end…I’d like to say that I am living proof that long distance friendships really can work. I might not see Andy as much as I used to - but we always make plans to hang out when he returns to Boston. I can’t wait to visit him in Los Angeles in the future!
Until Next Month…
